Samaipata and the surrounding region, feature a wide spectrum of animals and plants. The combination of altitude, latitude and climate make the area blossom with life. Many species that trive here have coexisted with human cultures for a long time.

During one of the many hiking or horse-riding options, you will be able to spot several interesting species of birds, the andean condor, being among the most remarkable.

At Amboró National Park, the opportunity to see pumas, ocelots and the unique spectacled bears, becomes possible when you visit this marvelous natural wonder. The park also hosts centennial giant ferns as well as a mosaic of other plants that are native to the area.
